Stichting Jheronimus Bosch 500 (the Jheronimus Bosch Foundation) has commissioned Rob Zuidam a Requiem, to commemmorate the 500th birthday of the renowned painter from 'sHertogenbosch (a detail of his 'Visions of the Hereafter' is shown here on the background) Plans are made for a piece of approx. 45 minutes for large ensemble (the ASKO|Schönberg Ensemble ) a chorus of about 24 singers (the Nederlands Kamerkoor) and four soloists (to be announced) The first performance of the work, to be conducted by Reinbert de Leeuw, will take place on November 8, 2013 in Den Bosch.
