Canciones del alma

On March 31st 2012 will be the first performance of the Canciones del alma, a songcycle for soprano and large ensemble orchestra, based on poems by San Juan de la Cruz, in the Zaterdagmatinee concertseries at the Amsterdam Concertgebouw. The piece, roughly 55 min. long, will be sung by soprano Katrien Baerts. Reinbert de Leeuw will conduct the ASKO|Schönberg Ensemble.
